The north – Gulu 29.feb – 3.march

Our training secretary Eddie, Justine (STEM-Staff), Jan Kristian, Margrethe and I went to the regional office to the north. It was the longest, most bumpy trip I ever have experienced in Uganda; 7hours on Ugandas worse roads.

We saw the regional office and met the training secretary for the north, attended a conference for students, went for many visits and drove a lot, but I'm still very glad that I joined.:-)

The Gulu-Team: Joanna, Janki, Justine & Maggie
(and yes, we sat like this several hours on Ugandan roads)

It was a long and bumpy drive, but Justine just HAD to sleep... No matter what!

Janki is enjoying his tasty lunch... and he looks so good!

The weather to Gulu changed from heavy rain...

...to sunshine for the girls to play in. :-)

On our way we passed some quite desert places...

The north of Uganda has a terrible history and lots of refugees. We decided to visit one of these camps. Luckily the conditions there are a lot better now than they were, and many people are now going home to their villages to start a new and better life. But here are some of the pictures and impressions I managed to capture...

Thank you'z:

Gulu has been the hottest and most dusty place I've been to in Uganda this far, but I enjoyed it so much; thank you Gulu! :-)
